Merchandise and Package Design

Postcards and Notebooks; in Paper and Canvas Matte
In honor of the first girl’s school that was established by Amna Al-Jaidah, this permanent exhibition was designed and curated by a team of Interior Design and Graphic Design students of Virginia Commonwealth University at Qatar---on the very school campus that is now Liwan Design Studios & Labs. Harboring a million memories, every artifact recovered and displayed at the site is a portal from the past for the old students and teachers that pass by. They can not only stop by for a visit and have a walk down the memory lane, but also leave recorded accounts of their own memories to share with future visitors. Honor the Past, Celebrate the Future is a time capsule representing the historic establishment of female education in Qatar.
